I made the mistake of installing the 17.2.1 update, which is full of serious bugs. I have an iPhone 12 with T-Mobile cell service. The phone would not connect to the cell network, just cranked and cranked and gave an error message, so no calls or data. Tried shutting down and restarting several times - no luck.
When I called Apple they tried for a hour, but could not fix it. They said they’d have to wipe my phone and reinstall everything, but could give no assurance this would solve anything.
They then suggested I call T-Mobile to see if they could help - very frustrating when Apple caused the issue. T- Mobil, on the other hand, was very helpful, but had to walk me through loading a new eSIM card, and basically resetting up the data on the phone to connect. It worked for a few hours, but now won’t connect until I reset network settings, which I’ve had to do several times. And the phone also no longer remembers WiFi passwords for the network we are on.
Very frustrating that an Apple update has not been tested enough, and therefore causes such serious issues. If you want to be able to use your phone during the holidays, stay away from this awful update!

For as long as I remember, when I held a finger on text, along with other choices, I'd be able to choose "Select" or "Select All". Did so this morning (hadn't updated in several months) copying parts of an email so I could paste it into another…
Here’s how this is (currently) supposed to work:
…Select, cut, copy, and paste text on iPhone - Apple Support
Double and triple tap and tap and drag and select-all are working here on iPadOS 17.2.
Tried dragging the blue lollipops? Or tried touch and hold and drag? And select all appears if no text is selected:
Yeah; Apple tweaks UI stuff, too. I usually end up re-reading the docs, or reading the new-and-changed notes.
iOS17.2 affected the Airpoods Pro 2nd generation functionality. Transparency on and off. Does not connect most of the time, etc, etc. How could the developers not QA test their made products, like Airpods?
My IPhone 11 updated to the latest IOS of 17.2.1 automatically last night. When I tried to update my IPad ver 9, it says that I have the latest version of 17.2 and will not bring up that 17.2.1 is available. Any idea?
I am having the same issue with my iPhone 13. A lot of freezing, and delayed or unresponsive moments. Phone gets very hot. I have 17.2.1 so I’m hoping there is a fix with 17.2.2 and checking for it everyday.
I'm facing network issues on my iPhone 15 Pro without even updating to ios 17.2.1 and it's really frustrating. I'm currently on ios 17.2.
From past 2-3 weeks, I am frequently not able to make calls even after both caller and receiver having signals.
If I do able to connect, the voice gets disconnected in between.
Once, mobile data was not working but in my friend's iPhone having ios 17.0 and the same network provider I'm having, was able to browse the internet.
This pretty much proves that something is wrong with ios and that current Apple Dev's work sucks.
We shell above 1000 bucks on a phone and it doesn't connect to internet, can't make calls, and what not.
I'm fond of Mac so decided to pick iPhone for the first time expecting similar, good xp.
Please hire good devs and fix the issue, Apple!

Seriously?? I have updated to the latest iOS 17.2.1 and since then my battery has been falling down much faster than it usually does…. I can clearly see the problem started with the update being installed on my phone. @apple please fix this and do the needful

Your nickname here implies an iPhone 11 Pro Max.
What’s the battery health of your iPhone? 80% or lower?
Fifth time attempting to post this.
I just tried up voting this topic. Apple: Slow down, you are voting too fast! Really?!
I cannot answer what has been asked about the keyboard, the box is greyed out. If I type p, multiple ppppp. If I type e, I get b or v. I write in Spanish. If I try accents they pop up and disappear when I try clicking on the correct one.
To the gentleman who suggested I use whatever works, Microsoft, Linux, etc. I have Apple products and they should suffice. They are plenty expensive. I hate Microsoft and Linux can be buggy. Otherwise I would use those.
I have been using Apple since the first Macintosh. I know how they work. I have used dfu mode, hard reset, reinstalling everything twice. I do not use VPNS.
I thought an app could be on loop but those apps are on the phone too and I have no problems. Still I deleted most from the iPad and kept the basics.
Sorry Apple, I am done with you.

I had it off and now it was on. Do you know why it resets by itself?
🤷🏼♀️
I've had a few settings get mysteriously toggled over the years, rarely, and not that I've noticed any patterns. Not beyond maybe a particularly unstable network being somehow involved.
I've also encountered folks that have had their own gremlins. Gremlins that happened to know their device passcodes. Gremlins that sometimes accessed their victim's devices and tweaked their victim's device settings, or cancelled their subscriptions, or other and assorted forms of mayhem.
Grandparents handing their unlocked devices to grandkids, or kids passing their own devices around to others have been recipes for problems. I've met a couple of folks that I suspect make the changes themselves, and then forget.
Verifying basic settings can get folks annoyed at IT during a support call too, but corruptions happen. As do gremlins.
i am also facing issue in i phone 15, after downloading ios 17.2.2. Opening Contacts for dialing any number has slowed down and taking atleast 5 secs to display . Poor exp

Apple isn’t here.
iOS 17.2.1 is current. I’m unaware of any available iOS 17.2.2.
Force-restart your iPhone: Force restart iPhone - Apple Support
Hold the third button press until the Apple logo appears, continuing to hold past any slider that might appear.
Failing that restart, shut off iCloud Contacts, wait a ~minute, restart the iPhone, and re-enable iCloud Contacts.
Settings > Apple ID > iCloud > Apps / Show All > Contacts > Off, wait, restart, On.
If the problem persists, contact Apple Support.
I used to send out a good morning message to a group of 10 people and turn off group messages so if some replies it only came back to me, now after upgrading i can seem to do that any more? Or can I ?
