Where has the light feature gone since the watch update? I used to access it by selling up but it's no longer there!
When I swipe up on my watch face to turn on the light, it's no longer there.
Apple Watch Series 7, watchOS 10
Apple Intelligence is now available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac!

Thank you. But mark me as a big down vote on this change. Literally one of the reason some of us wear the watch at night is to avoid falls by quickly illuminating the way. Apple just made it much more complicated to access the light feature. What in heavens name was wrong with swiping up? Guess it was just too simple. Now it is faster to just pick up the phone to light the way. Less reason to wear the watch.

No one would automatically know about watchOS changes. There are so many, what is important for you to know might not be what is important for someone else. Apple can't put out an alert for every change.
But everyone can know about the newest version of watchOS through the free watchOS User Guide which is updated with the public releases of watchOS.

Sure, Bob, but who would automatically know about that change, in the dark at whatever hour- maybe not very awake?
The snark is also not helpful.

I don't understand why anyone would not just single click and double click every button, rotate the crown, swipe every screen in every direction just to find out how the thing now works. Talk about frontiersmen.

Because movies and TV have trained us that if we push the right combination of buttons in just the right order, a “Final Countdown” will start 3, 2, 1, 💥
I do not understand what is so hard about pressing a button?
when watchOS 10.2 is released, check if swipe up becomes a configurable option.
