Since the last of the iOS 16 updates my Apple CarPlay display isn’t working. thedisappears and it’s hard to know which button is selected.

Everything with the CarPlay update seems great until you select a song or podcast to play. Suddenly the blue button highlight is replaced with a pale white highlight which is very hard to see. This makes it difficult to pause, fast forward, skip.

Hey HR55,

The guide you recently viewed has great steps that can usually help when you're having an issue with CarPlay. Were you able to complete all the steps, and recommendation to reach out to your car/stereo manufacturer? Here's that link, just in case: If you need help with CarPlay - Apple Support

If those steps don't help, let us know more:

  • Do other apps or features work as expected with the CarPlay display?
  • Are you connecting via Bluetooth or USB cable?
  • Do other devices experience the same behavior, if any are available to test with?

Keep us posted.

Take care!

I have done everything the Apple Support posts say. It isn't a connection issue. Everything works well until you get to the play/pause/fast forward/ screen and then the cursor changes from blue to a faint button outline which can be very hard to see. There is obviously an issue between the Mitsubishi hardware and the latest iOS software.
