Press the silver power button underneath the side dial. All of the things that we are missing are there. Ping your phone, battery life

Having the same issue, I used to swipe up all the time for the quick 'find my phone' beep thingy (this article doesn't help answer that question), or to do various things that I can no longer do or find. Also can't seem to tell what my battery is at now - I hate change! ;)
Apple. We had a great and easy way to find our phones. Please tell us why you wrecked it. You have added more stress to our lives. Your changes are often thoughtless.
Agree! Apple, please don’t change systems which are working well. I haven’t got time to learn new ways about my watch/ipad/phone unless I think it’s going to help me in some way.
It depends on what Watch series you have. Look at the button below the crown dial. It will bring up your control center. Yes I agree with everyone it is definitely the wrong time to change out watches when we are so busy with the holidays and have a tendency to lay down our phones and then can’t find them.

The new watch upgrade is TERRIBLE! Did anyone actually test it? I actually had to shut my phone off to get the watchhto stop beeping it. Ugh!
Please tell Apple what you would like to see in a future watchOS update via
If enough users send feedback, it is more likely to reach a decision maker.

It is still there. It just moved to the flat oval side button (see picture)
Use Control Center on Apple Watch - Apple Support
A quick press and release brings up the Control Center and the iPhone ping icon.
DO NOT hold the button, as that brings up the Emergency services display.
If getting the press and release timing is an issue, then adjust the
Settings -> Accessibility -> Side Button Click Speed
I use Slow. My Wife prefers Slowest.
Apple is not here, but you can, and should send feedback via

On the side of your watch that has the dial…there is a button right below it, push it in and there will be a screen that pops up and it shows find your iPhone there.
Where is the Find My icon on my Apple Watch it has disappeared with the latest updates along with other icons that I just swiped up and would be there

Kind regards.
I still can’t get this working on my watch using those instructions. Any update?

The previous Control Center swipe-up has moved to a quick press and release of the flat oval side button
Use Control Center on Apple Watch - Apple Support
DO NOT hold the button, as that brings up Emergency services and the power off icon.
Control Center should then show you the iPhone ping icon (find my iPhone), Battery percentage, Flashlight, Water Lock, Airplane mode, Alarm silence, Theater mode, and all the other Control Center services.
An alternate way to get some of the Control Center services is:
“Hey Siri, find my iPhone”
“Hey Siri, Flashlight”
“Hey Siri, Battery”
“Hey Siri, Airplane mode”
Getting the press and release timing just right can be an issue. You can make it more reliable by changing:
Settings -> Accessibility -> Side Button Click Speed
“Side Button Click Speed” can adjust the press and release timing, so you get the Control Center display every time. Adjusting The “Side Button Click Speed” is also useful for Apple Pay’s double press and release. There is “Default” (sub second timing of needed), “Slow” (up to a second between press and release), and “Slowest” (up to 2 seconds between press and release). I like the “Slow” setting.
NOTE: Slow and Slowest settings do not mean you have to wait a full second or 2 seconds between press and release. It just means you do not need to be super fast.
Apple Watch -> Settings -> Accessibility -> AssistiveTouch can be used to access things like:
o Control Center
o Apple Pay
o Emergency Services and the Power Off icon (labeled “Hold Side Button”)
o and many other things...
Use AssistiveTouch on Apple Watch - Apple Support
while I was searching I learned you could hold down that icon down and it will not only beep but the light will flash. Of course it’s not working for me. Is that true? I have an 11 phone and a 6 watch.

When I press and hold the “Ping iPhone” icon, the camera Flash/Flashlight on the back of the iPhone flashes Red, and I get the pinging sound.
If I do not hold the icon, I just get the pinging sound.
This is an iPhone 12 Pro and a Series 4
