Attachment opened of an Apple Scam Email via iPhone

I received an “account suspension” scam email, which had an attachment included as well. I opened this attachment through my iPhone. I read it, saying that I had to verify my account in order to stop the suspension. I didn’t tap on the verify button, however I’m scared that by opening the attachment I provided access to hackers to my phone. Please help.

Nothing to worry about. Attachments can in no way grant access to your phone. Just delete the scam email.

Attachments open within the Email app sandbox, and are not allowed access to system files or other locations on your iPhone.
