For my father I'd like to use the Assistive Access feature in iOS 17, but for some reason the iPhone is disabling the sim card ? We cannot call anyone, and when exiting the assistive touch ... the sim is locked so we have to enter the sim code again.
Am I missing something ?
Edit: Tried this on my own Phone (14 Pro) and had the same result ...

Yes, I found out it is a bug ... so yeah, hope & wait for a fix :-)
I have the same issue with my aunts iPhone 11 and assistive access. Pretty annoying, hopefully this will be fixed in the next update.
Hopefully the bug will get fixed soon. I was very happy I could finally give my 88 old mother her first iPhone. And a big disappointment when we couldn't get it to work with the sim card :(
I feel you. Pretty sad that the functionality of the SIM card doesn’t work.. I wonder how something such essential could slip through QA :/
