iMessage blue but not “delivered”

Both myself and the recipient have iPhone 12 Pro Max. My texts are now not showing “Delivered” under the message, but it’s still blue. I know when people are blocked or have no WiFi, the messages go green. Two days later, my message is blue. What does this mean?

Hello megclaunch,

It is possible that read receipt is disabled on their end so that you're not aware if they've reviewed it. That's under Settings > Messages. If you are blocked, the message is not delivered to the recipient as it is blocked on their side. So while it shows you sent it, nothing else will happen. Green just indicates it is sending as an SMS, which happens if the other user is not using an Apple device or your message travels over your cellular network instead of data.

Cheers!
