Why have I started getting a "Login Items" Notification pop up on my Ventura 13.4.1 Macbook Air?

Today I've started getting a "Login Items" pop-up notification. I've attached a screen shot of my current login items list. I haven't made any changes to this list in months, at least. I haven't updated MacOS recently. I don't know what updates have taken place in the background though.

The notification is just annoying, everything seems to be working fine otherwise.

Any suggestions?

Hi there oldrepublic,

If you are getting notifications from the System Settings that you are unable to identify, the first thing we would recommend is to update your Mac to the latest version of macOS Ventura, 13.6. This installs feature improvements and fixes that can resolve unexpected behavior like this. These steps from Update macOS on Mac so you how to backup and update:

1. Before installing new software, it's a good idea to back up your Mac. If you have an external storage device, you can use it to back up your Mac with Time Machine.

2. To check for new software, open Software Update:
* From the Apple menu  in the corner of your screen, choose System Settings. Click General in the sidebar, then click Software Update on the right.
* Or in earlier versions of macOS, choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click Software Update.

3. If Software Update finds new software, click the Update or Upgrade button to download and install it. You will be asked to enter your administrator password, which is the password you use to log in to your Mac. During installation, your Mac might show a progress bar or blank screen several times.

If this continues after updating the macOS, please provide more details on when this notification appears and what exactly happens when you click on it. We'll use that information to isolate this issue further.

Cheers!
