The fix is in your account page. On all phones that have the family sharing you need to do the change. Click on the name/pic at the top of settings for your account info. Then click family sharing. You will need to view and accept new terms and then you can update the sharing. But you do need to do it on each device, it can’t be done remotely. I just had success on this myself!

Initially not working, but mine now works on 17.3 and the previous IOS of IPHONE. To get it to working I had to Agree to Terms and Conditions of ICLOUD in IPHONE settings (even though I don't use icloud), somehow the agreement had got switched off when I upgraded IOS(?).

[I think I found the Agree button (T&Cond) in Settings -> iCloud (?)]

Could also try reinstalling the "Find My" app and/or an Iphone Reboot (Restart), but I think agreeing to Terms and Conditions really important (for me it was).

Not sure if this will work for anyone else but I had the same issue on my new iPhone 15 plus, my partners location was showing as Now but never Live, she recently upgraded to iPhone 12 Pro Max and both phones are on iOS 17.5.1 with the same issue. After checking all settings on both phones I discovered that because I had cloned both phones from the older phones, the find my was using the names of the older ones to find live locations in my case iPhone XR and in her case iPhone 8plus. I opened the find my app and tapped on ME (bottom right) scroll down and tap location FROM, in there was the names of the old phones, I tapped on Use This Device, did this on both phones, went back to find my main screen tapped People and the live location was working again. It’s worth checking out 🙂

Ok, I think I got it! Each of the five of us had do variations on these steps:

  1. Go to iCloud in your Settings (it’s where your pic is) and accept new terms. Again, some needed to do this and some didn’t.
  2. Go to Family it’s the second area in settings (under your pic). Be sure everyone is still there. Add as needed.
  3. Stay there- scroll to the bottom to Location Sharing. Toggle everyone to on (again, not everyone had to do this but it was the most common fix for us).

I hope this helps some of you- it was a big relief for us!

Reposting because this worked for us.

It’s definitely a software glitch/bug. I updated 6 iPhones (13,14,15) to iOS 17 and only the 15 experienced this “issue”. After every iOS update, the issue continued on the 15, but was still fine on the 13 and 14 models.

Now I just updated the 15 to iOS 17.4 and now the issue is gone! No other changes were made on the 15. Still very frustrating it took so many updates.. hopefully they figure it out for everyone else soon.

The problem is different in the FindMe app than it is from the "Find Live" that you access under Messages (clicking in the user name) sent to you from someone that your following. Which will now always show "No Location Found" if the iOS version numbers differ (between 16 & 17). The FindMe app will show the correct location whenever it its restarted. If you exit out (not letting it run suppended) and restart it. FindMe live works fine between iOS 17 to 17, and iOS 15 or 16 to iOS 15 or 16, BUT not between 17 and an earlier version or from and earlier version and iOS 17.#

I do not believe this problem (with FindMe Live) has been corrected.

Hey JPvano,

Is the issue with Live Location occurring in Messages? If so, does the feature work in the Find My app under the People tab?

If you haven't already, make sure the person you're sharing locations with also has their device updated to the latest version of iOS: Update your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

We recommend reaching out to Apple Support after those steps, as they have tools to investigate further: Get Support

Take care.

After updating my iPhone 11 to iOS 17.2.1, my Find My app could not locate anyone of the People sharing location with me.

After trying everything I finally managed to get it working again!!!!

  • Settings>General>iPhone Storage (scroll down to Find My)
  • Tap on it > Offload App (NOT delete)
  • Power off iPhone
  • Power on iPhone
  • go back to iPhone storage
  • Reinstall Find My

Hope this works for you too!!
