Favorite bookmarks removal

I want to remove the bookmarks from the tab without actually deleting my bookmarks. I have tried removing it from the tab but it just deletes the bookmark completely.

MacBook Air, macOS 13.6

Update: I clicked on 'View' on the menu bar and clicked on 'hide favourites bar', this solved the problem.
