bad photos

my iphone 14 pro max has started blurring photos. I was getting amazing portrait photos and now they are looking blurred/hazy. Are there specific settings that need to be kept as some were changed by a friend but photos were still good but then started looking bad.

Hello 4157Family,

Thanks for following up. Based on your description, it sounds like you may want to make sure your iPhone lens is clean, or test after removing any cases: If the camera or flash on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch isn't working - Apple Support

  1. "If the photo is blurry, clean the front and back camera lenses with a microfiber cloth. If you see dirt or debris inside the lens, damage to your iPhone near the camera, or if the camera lens appears to be misaligned or blocked, contact Apple Support to discuss service options.
  2. If you see motion blur in low-light situations and you use a lens converter, metallic case, or a magnetic lens mount, try removing the accessory."

Best wishes.

Hello 4157Family,

We would like to see how we can help you with your photos not being as sharp as expected. If you turn Lens Correction off, does the issue persist? Follow the steps in this link to turn it off: Change advanced camera settings on iPhone - Apple Support

"Turn Lens Correction off and on

On supported models, the Lens Correction setting adjusts photos taken with the front camera or Ultra Wide camera for more natural-looking results. Lens Correction is on by default.

To turn off Lens Correction, go to Settings > Camera, then turn off Lens Correction."

Cheers
