Displaylink Screen Recording Security

Hello Community,

Does anyone know if using a Displaylink supported docking station is secure. Displaylink software drivers requires screen recording enabled to use multiple monitor displays. Is this secure? Are the screens being recorded for some other use?

Mac mini (M2 Pro, 2023)

I would check the displaylink app to see what is cached. Obviously there is risk. MacOS makes you manually give access to screen Record. I don’t understand why Mac users only option is to use 3rd party app just so to have slack and the ticket queue on separate screens……….. but whatever
