water lock on WatchOS10.0.1

Apple should seriously reconsider moving the water lock feature from the control center to the workout app. Sometimes you're just taking a shower. Sometimes, you're just washing your dog. Sometimes, you want to protect your watch against water and you are not interested in recording a workout time. Please, for the love of all that is holy, return the swipe-up Control Center with the water protect feature. Please!

Watch OS 10 - Water Lock Gone? Prior to last nights update to watch OS 10 I was able to activate a water lock function on my Watch SE which was helpful while working out as it prevented me accidentally pausing the workout unintentionally etc. Since last nights update - that option has vanished and I can no longer see any way of locking the device - the only options available now are end, pause or segment. Have tried pressing and holding the crown, the side button in any and all combinations with no joy. Has this functionality been taken away or am I missing a way to do it?

setting water lock on Apple Watch v 6 I'm looking for how to set the water lock on my apple watch directly, without starting any of the sports apps. In a situation where I am kayaking for more than half a day, the watch battery doesn't manage for more than 3-4 hours, so I need to lock it directly.

Removal of lock workout option in WatchOS 10 The Lock (water drop) option appears to have been removed from the Fitness app’s workout options in WatchOS 10. Seems like it’s automated for swimming, but I used it for other workout types where the screen and button often gets knocked e.g. boxing where gloves cover the watch. Any ideas how to restore the option aside from boxing underwater??
