How to fix greyed out files post updating to Sonoma

That’s just it.. I didn’t turn anything on.

I just ran the update.

Was there any indication that sharing would be turned on by default?

Apparently I’m not the only person this happened to.

Well, you did, by not turning it off. It was one of the pages you clicked through without reading.

I believe I'm in the same boat - Did the Sonoma upgrade this morning and now some files that may not have fully synced to/from iCloud are gone from both Mac HD and iCloud.

I don't think they have been deleted.

Check to see if they are hidden, as was the case for the OP.

I feel your pain! I have hundreds of audio files (Logic/Pro Tools) that are lost forever!

No, they are gone. I back up on iCloud and the are not even on my iCloud drive.

All of these files are missing (except the ones I recreated today). They show up in a search but are nowhere to be found.

Nothing happens when hitting command R

It doesn't tell me where the file is located

Are they listed under iCloud Drive in the Sidebar?

It happens to me too all documents and fl studio projects were cleared but I found them on iCloud achieved folder
