Urgent Help Needed: Stolen Credit Cards Used to Purchase iPhones in Apple Store Ginza, Tokyo
Hello Apple Community,
I hope you can help me with a distressing situation I'm facing. Recently, my credit cards were stolen in Tokyo, and to my shock, they were used to purchase multiple iPhone 14 Pro Max devices at the Apple Store in Ginza. The store manager, upon investigating, informed me of these purchases, which clearly were not authorized by me.
I reported the theft to the Japanese police, but unfortunately, their response has been less than helpful. The banks are also not willing to waive the charges because the cards were used physically. However, they did express concern about the numerous attempts to challenge the credit limit on my cards during these unauthorized transactions, and they recommended involving Apple in the investigation.
With the support of the Singapore embassy, I made an attempt to contact Apple. However, my communication with Apple has so far only led to technical support, and I'm unsure how to escalate this issue to the appropriate department.
I feel this situation is incredibly unfair, and I'm reaching out to the Apple Community in the hope that someone here might be able to guide me on how to get in touch with the right people at Apple who can investigate this matter further.
Has anyone faced a similar situation, or does anyone have advice on how to escalate this issue with Apple's customer support to address unauthorized transactions at an Apple Store? Any insights or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
