App in another, inactive and "wrong" drive opens

Odd question. Bear with me.

Old MacPro, four hard drives. One, the first, is the default drive which the Mac boots from. A second drive is more or less a duplicate. Containing most of the same apps as in the first drive, etc. E.g. Adobe Photoshop which resides in both.

Issue:

When I'm on the first drive and e.g. right click a jpg to "open with" and select Photoshop, it launches the Photoshop app from the second drive. Not from the active, first drive which I'm using.

Question:

How can I make images like jpg open the correct Photoshop, i.e. the version on the active drive?

Additional info:

The first drive is actually a clone of the second. But very much edited and changed after the cloning.

Unmount the unwanted drive whilst you do this...

Open Terminal and run each of these one at a time

/System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user

sudo /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Support/lsregister -kill -seed -lint -r -f -v -dump -domain local -domain system -domain user -domain network

killall Dock

sudo mdutil -E /

sudo mdutil -i on /

Rebuilding a drive index can take a long time, so be prepared to wait whether you do it through the System Preference panel or the command line.
