Face Gallery empty / no Watch Faces shown

  1. Open the Watch app on the iPhone
  2. "My Faces" does not show any images of my current Watch Faces - it's empty
  3. Click the tab "Face Gallery" - also empty and can't click anything either

  • The same issue happens on multiple Watches
  • Tried completely Factory resetting the Watch and re-pairing
  • Running the latest stable versions of iOS and WatchOS
  • Once in a few days, i suddenly see the Faces appear
  • If i make changes to the Watch Faces on my Watch itself, they will at some point get "deleted" / "overwritten" by how the latest iPhone "configured Watch Faces" were set, after a few days or weeks.

Please advise.

i have the same issue with my brand new Series 9 watch. I unpaired and paired my watch multiple times, hard reset the watch and phone, reboot both, uninstalled and installed the Apple watch application on my phone and still having the same issue. This needs to be fixed.

Take you some screenshots of your faces. Un-Pair the watch again, this time set up as a new watch. Wait, Wait, Wait. Turn off any photo syncing to the watch all that stuff before you re-pair it.

I have been fighting this since watch 3. Evedently something with the watch 0 stored some bad data in the backup. This naturally got put back into the watch everytime I tried to fix it and repaired it.
