When clicking on iPhone widgets added on macOS Sonoma, a message saying "open app on iPhone to continue" appears on the widgets. When opening the corresponding app on iPhone nothing happens. This does not occur with native mac widgets (clock, news, calendar, etc).
MacBook Pro (M1, 2020)
It seems kind of ridiculous to put iPhone "widgets" on the Mac desktop if they don't offer some function other than to remind you to "open your iPhone" and use them there. And it would be really useful to have some functionality from my iPhone apps when using them on Sonoma. The whole thing seems unclear and unfinished to me.

I have done both. It seems that this is a common issue. Have you been able to add non-macOS widgets 9the ones from your iPhone such as possibly Google, Bing, Spotify, etc.) and gotten them to work?
I see It must be the same for the widget displaying the remaining time for my parking
I've found from another post that it should be using Continuity to connect to the iPhone app.
So, you would need to make sure the requirements are met.
Also, the app and widget may need to be updated to take advantage of it.
Same for me... I didn't know how to avoid this message. Any advice?
Find My is one widget that works for me. Otherwise, my troubles are the same
May I ask where to get the Facebook widget or any widget for the iPhone?
where did you find the widgets in settings? it isn't on my iPhone or macbook pro
iPhone: tap and hold on a Home Screen, then click the "+" in upper left.
Mac: two-finger-/control-/right-click on the desktop and choose "Edit Widgets..." from the contextual menu.

I had the same problem, but I solved it. I switched off the VPN on my iPhone.
I've just tried this and it worked! Thank you!
That's disgusting. Even the Google Translator app asks to open on iPhone. Apple usually don't deliver unfinished features, but it is how it looks like now.
