  1. call TOS support, ask for technical support. They have work around. Go to settings, > Desktop and dock>Desktop and stage manager. Click In Stage Manager and only in stage manager>scroll down to Mission Control and turn off Displays have separate spaces. Restart computer.
  2. Launch TOS, wait for spinning wheel to stop. Go to apple, click on about this Mac, close the about this Mac window and the desktop should appear.
  3. If you have multiple monitors, you may have to detach all but your main monitor the first time you do this.
  4. After you get TOS open, you can re connect additional monitors and the system should work ok.
  5. TOS tech thinks they may have a solution later on Oct. 2 but it may take a few more days before the system works as it is supposed.

Again, if this doesn't help, call TOS and ask for the technical help desk.

I also contacted ToS and was told that they are aware of this issue but don't have a date as to when they will have a fix for it.....go figure.

So initially the fix that @Oldedit posted did not work for me. But I did try it and kept the settings. What I also did was under Stage Manager, I selected Show Windows From An Application - One at a time. I didn't need to reboot the Mac. Just restarted ToS and voila! That seems to have done the trick. I don't know if it is with the combination of the fix from @Oldedit but I am just glad it works. So thank you @Oldedit

I use a Mac Mini M2 Pro with 2 monitors. And of course OS Sonoma.

Hope it works for everyone else...good luck!

So after a month of headaches with this issue, here is what I noticed. It isn't a JAVA issue (the issue happens with or without JAVA installed) and none of the workarounds that I found online worked for me.

Mac Mini M2, two monitors, OS Sonoma with JAVA installed.

My issue is: after TOS login, my main monitor does not get passed the login screen while my sub monitor will load my detached charts.

But here is what has been working for me.

1) Open Firefox (it may work with other browsers) and whatever webpage.

2) Open TOS and sign in

3) During sign-in, bring Firefox to the front.

Hopefully you will notice TOS open right behind Firefox.

This has worked for me for the past week. I noticed that when I do not open Firefox first, I stumble on the same issue as before.

It's worth a try so I hope it works for you too.
