If Apple replaces a device that I got through Verizon, will Verizon be able to activate it?

I have an iPhone 15 Pro. I upgrade yearly via Verizon. I noticed today the screen is bulging. I did not drop the device and it is protected with a case. I called Apple. They said they can ship or give a replacement phone. However, when I receive it, will Verizon be able to transfer my number and activate it? I am concerned. Thank you!
