Assistance Required for iPhone 16 Pro Max Activation Issue

Apple Support,

I am writing to express my frustration and concern regarding an ongoing issue with my new iPhone 16 Pro Max, which was purchased from the Apple Store in Richmond, VA by my father. Despite numerous attempts to activate the phone here in Pakistan, I continue to receive the same error: "Activation Failed, Unable to Connect to Apple Server Temporarily."

I have tried activating the device via my MacBook, performed a hard reset, and followed all the troubleshooting steps as mentioned here, but the issue persists. I spent over an hour on the phone with an Apple Specialist, who suggested that the issue might be related to the phone's internal module not connecting to Apple's server. They advised me to return the device to the original Apple Store where it was purchased. However, this is extremely inconvenient as I currently have no immediate plans to return to the U.S., and I cannot expect my parents to travel back just for this issue.

For additional context, my father purchased the same phone for my sister, and she had no issues activating hers in the same location.

I have invested a significant amount of money in this device, and I believe a more feasible solution must be arranged. Here are the options I am requesting:

  1. Shipment to Richmond, VA: My sister resides in Richmond. I request that Apple arrange a FedEx shipment where I can send the device from Pakistan to Richmond for exchange or repair.
  2. Replacement Authorization in Dubai: Alternatively, I can visit the nearest Apple Store in Dubai, but I will need written authorization from your team ensuring that the store will replace the device without hesitation. I do not want to risk making this trip only to be turned away.

Given the situation, I need a prompt resolution to this matter. I trust Apple to stand by its products and provide an efficient solution, given the circumstances.

Thank you for your immediate attention to this issue. I look forward to your swift response.

This is a user forum. You are not talking to Apple.

If your phone need service, you will need to ship it to someone you know in the US and have them take it to Apple for service. They can then ship it back to you. Apple will not accept international shipments for service, nor will they ship devices outside of the country of service.

This is exactly why you should purchase a device in the country where you live instead of elsewhere.

That's unfortunate AND why one should ALWAYS buy their phone in the country they live and will use it.

To your points. You bought a phone in the US. You don't live in the US. You'll need to hop on a plane and come to the US with the phone if you need warranty support. Or you can send the phone to someone you know in the US and they can take it to an Apple Store for you, then they will have to ship it back to you.

Also, you aren't writing Apple here. This is a user to user only forum.

Next time, buy your phone where you live.
