Can I use my 140w adapter that comes with my macbook pro 16 to charge my iphone 15 pro max with a 100w type c cable all the time?

hello, I have a MacBook Pro and an iPhone 15. I have an AC adapter for my iPhone but currently don't have the original cable i forgot it at home. Can I safely use the USB-C charging cable from my MacBook Pro and an iphone AC adapter to charge my iPhone 15 without causing any potential issues or damage?
