itunes library on iphone

Hi, I have a large itunes library on my laptop. I now have an iphone but my library does not show up. I am logged in with my Apple id but have never purchased songs these are all from my cd's or free downloads.

Can someone tell me how I can view and play my itunes library on my iphone. I swear it was there briefly when i first got the phone but it's gone. i do not seem to have the option to sync on my phone. Any help greatly appreciated. I have limited computer skills if you cannot tell already but just want my music. Thx
