passwords gone, how to recover them ?

hi, i just logged in and then out of an apple account and during this move, i noticed all my passwords are gone, i had over 100 login info there and now zero. i suspect it’s an icloud thing again that simply causes users to lose data out of the blue when in fact it is supposed to recover data.

any ideas if i can recover my 100+ login info ?

"passwords gone, how to recover them ?: I was expecting iPhone’s password feature would take care of it. Now the list is totally gone. Keychain now don’t bring anything either."

Troubleshooting Lost Passwords:

Some general workarounds...

A. Log In to the Same Apple ID:

Be certain you are logging in to the same Apple ID?

B. New iCloud Session:

Log out of iCloud, and then log back in. Perhaps it all needs to resync?

C. Restart the iPhone:

If you performed a major change (i.e. update install), a restart can get things configured to how they should be. Go here: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

Troubleshooting Lost Passwords:

A. Use a Computer:

First off, use a computer to troubleshoot this, as it would be more user-friendly doing so.

B. Visit Keychain for Passwords:

See if Keychain is disabled. Your passwords would be in Keychain. Go Here: How to Find Saved Passwords on your iPhone - Apple Support

C. If not in Keychain:

Look somewhere else you may have kept a record of these in.

D. Reset at a Login Screen:

If this is on a Web site, do you have the option to reset the password?

really start thinking iOS might be better off without iCloud thing as it apparently causes trouble let alone solve data management.

You are welcome.

Troubleshooting Lost Passwords:

Two Last Thoughts:

A. Restore your device from a backup.

B. Look for a handwritten, hardcopy sheet of paper with this info on it.

Recommend this to Apple:

Do your Part: If you think this is a useless feature of Apple, then inform Apple of this. Apple wont get back to you directly on this, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they'll know what suits their customers' needs and wants. Apple will

know nothing of your opinions of this, if you don't report it.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
  2. Select: "Feature Request" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: on why you want this this be an option. Include the URL of this thread.
  4. Perceed from thee as necessar

first of all, thanks a lot for quick replies,

however, i haven’t been able to count how many times I already followed all those steps, logging in and out countless of times and resetting my iPhone 14. i guess it’s all messed up…

still, suspect the culprit is the keychain sync option as the logging out screen means to implicitly asks you if you want to keep stuff with toggle buttons. if you accidentally forget to toggle the relevant one on you might lose all your data.
