Buzzing sound when watching video on Apple TV

When I'm playing video on my Apple TV I get a buzzing/static sound through the speakers. Prior to upgrading to TV OS17 I would only hear it when playing video - even if the video is paused, but in the Apple TV interface it did not happen. After upgrading to OS17 it's making the buzzing noise even when in the Apple TV interface, but only after I watch video. I don't hear the sound when playing music. I've tried switching the audio format to Dolby Digital 5.1 or Stereo and at first it seems to help, but the buzzing still is present when watching videos.

Let's see if we can isolate this behavior further.

Do you experience the same behavior if you test with another HDMI cable or television?

If your Apple TV is connected to a receiver or other audio equipment, does that persist if you instead connect your Apple TV directly to your television?

Should that behavior still persist, you'll want to reach out to Apple Support: Apple Support They'll be in the best position to look into this further.
