Just by putting it on the original charger that came with it. Prior to updating from iwatch 9,? It charged in 30 minutes to an hour. Now I even tapped charge to full now and it took two additional hours after having been on the charger for four hours. I like wearing it 95% of the time. I only take it off to charge.

There is no way to know why charging is slow without hands-on checking, and I think the plan is to fix the problem rather than find the reasons. I suggest you begin with a full reboot of your Apple Watch to clear anty software glitches hanging around from the upgrade process.
Press and hold the Digital Crown and the Side Button (at the same time) until the display shows the white Apple logo. Then release the buttons and let the watch restart. Test and see if charging is now back to normal.
