Since the update my Blink Security System alert sound is so quiet that it is nearly useless. Can I uninstall the latest update that caused this problem with so many? If so, can you tell me how?

Based on your tagline, do you have an iPhone 7, that is still running iOS 12.x? Generally, you cannot downgrade the installed version of iOS. Instead, you would need to contact the app developer to see if they have any updates to their software for the version of iOS running on your phone.

Yes, 17.0.2 would be the currently latest version of iOS. Unfortunately, no, Apple does not support downgrading to an earlier release.
However, there are workarounds that you can find by doing an Internet search for: "How to downgrade iOS" Note that I do not recommend using them; as a minimum you will completely erase your phone, or worst case, end up "breaking" your phone entirely.
No I have an 11 pro and my current IOS is 17.02 and says it is up to date - had no problem with the Blink Security System until this last update. I am not the only one many are posting the same message on this site. My husbands Samsung is not affected by the change in notification sound so it is an apple thing. Just wondered if I could uninstall the last update and see what happens.
