Why can’t I update my phone? And why don’t my family storage show on my phone?

I go to the settings to update my phone and put in my password. It loads but by the time the request goes down, it says there was an error that occurred and it’s been doing that since last night. I have the 13 pro max so I should be able to update still. And with the storage, I’m on a family plan and we have 2 TB storage paid for until sometime in October, everybody has it on their phone but me! It says I still have 200 GB.
