iMessages not appearing on iPhone, only on iPad and Mac

iMessages from one contact appear everywhere but my iPhone. I've tried:

Ensuring I'm signed in the with same appleid on each device

Soft reset iPhone

iMessages is activated in iCloud

I thought the problem might be with the contact (that person's messages land in two different threads) so I merged the contacts. Still didn't help.

This is an important contact so I want to be sure I see their messages on all devices. Is the anything else I can try? Have an iPhone 11 with iOS 16.7.

Thanks!

Thank you Vilas_S!

I'll give this a try. One other question - I'm planning on getting a new phone. When I transfer the data over from the current phone, is the new one likely to have the same problem? I should mention this problem started when I opened iMessage one day and saw all my pinned conversations were gone; I'm wondering if the iMessage app got corrupted somehow.

Any thoughts? Thanks again for the help.
