I left my family plan but I still get pop ups for billing issues

I am unable to download any new apps due to a billing problem in my family’s family plan. The temporary solution to this was for me to leave the plan and see if the issue continued and to my surprise it did. How am I experiencing billing issues for a family plan I am not a member of?

Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities! We see that you were linked from the article "If a message says 'billing problem with previous purchase' or 'verification required'". As noted in the article:



If you use Family Sharing and purchase sharing is turned on, the family organizer's payment method is charged for all family members' purchases. If you're the family organizer and you or a family member can't make purchases, change your payment method.
If you're not the family organizer, ask the family organizer to change their payment method. Or redeem a gift card and pay your unpaid order.
