HomePod Mini Power Supply

I have an Apple HomePod Mini. I have been told that it only works with the Apple 20w brick, but I tried a 12w brick and it still works. What might be the reason for this? Can I use any brick that I want if this is the case?

The HomePod mini is designed to work with any 20W (9V ⎓ 2.22A) power brick.

This is the official power profile recommended by Apple. Even if it seems to be now, your HomePod mini may not function properly with other power profiles. You can learn more here under "Orange flashing light": Identify status lights on HomePod - Apple Support
