Regarding labeling photos in 'info'

If I have labeled some photos with captions, then later realize I want to add a caption to several pictures - including some of the ones I've already captioned, is there a way to keep the original caption in addition to the new one I’m adding? When I try, it says ‘various captions” so when I add a new caption I lose whatever was captioned previously. Is there a way around this other than going through each photo to find the ones that are already captioned??? (Same thing for titles) Sorry for the convoluted explanation….

If you have a Mac and am running Photos this will do what you want: Script: Batch Append Text to the Caption/Description of Photos

I compiled the script in Script Editor and saved it as an application. Then I select the photos I want to add the text to and run the app.
