Captions not copied when importing images into Photos

When viewed on Preview my tiff photos shows a description/caption both in IPTC:Caption/Description and in TIFF:Image Description.

But when imported to Photos, the description is not shown in the Info Box (it says "Add a description")

OTOH, when adding a description in Photos and exporting -- Preview does show the caption in the above two fields.

I have tons of photos with such descriptions/captions (exported from Lightroom Classic). How do I get these descriptions into Photos?

Issue solved. Actually there was no issue. I looked at the Info Box when the photos were still in "Review for import". Once they are actually imported the captions are there!
