Apple devices not connecting to Apple HomeKit

Hey! So I am very new to Apple HomeKit but I wanted to switch over from Google because I just got an Apple TV and a HomePod Mini. Over the past 4 days I have had endless problems trying to add these devices into my HomeKit as my TV doesn’t respond to any voice commands like (turn on and off) and I can’t properly assign it to a room in the AP TV’s settings.

In addition, I had a HomePod Mini that I tried to set up but it was stuck in ‘configuring’ for 2 days. I tried multiple restarts and followed all of the advice online by trying to add it to different rooms etc however nothing worked. I ended up thinking that the HomePod was faulty so I exchanged it for a new one. However, I am still having the exact same one with the new one. It is working perfectly fine as a speaker and can connect to my AP TV speakers, however, I am not able to set any automations or ask Siri to set alarms, timers or control the other smart devices in my home.

If anyone has any advice please let me know because this is low key driving me insane haha.

How are you not able to assign the ATV to a room in settings? You need to sign in with your Apple ID.

Open Settings on Apple TV.
Select Users and Accounts. Make sure your name is selected under Default User and that you're signed in to iCloud with the Apple ID that you used to set up your HomeKit and Matter accessories in the Home app.
Go back to Apple TV Settings, then select AirPlay and HomeKit.
Scroll down and select Room, then choose a room or add a new room.

I have tried this multiple times and everytime I attempt to add it, it asks me to pair it with my phone. For context, I am already logged in to iCloud on my ATV. Once I have paired it with my phone it says ‘Airplay 2 is ready’ however my ATV gets stuck on a loading screen that never lets me select a room. I have tried factory resetting my TV however, and trying again but still nothing works.
