Airpods Pro (2nd gen) Broke In Half When Trying To Change my Ear-Tips
Like the author “Damianb11” said: “So I just bought the new pro's and after using them a couple times I've decided to try the other tips. The first one went of with a little bit of force, compared to the old ones and the second one just did not come of but instead the bud broke in half and took the 3 cables with it. So now I’m left with 1 working bud.
I do not own the receipt anymore... I am assuming this is just a production fault since it’s impossible to get the tip off and the middle frame of the bud came of very easily.
I've tried calling but the assistant claims that she works at apple for 4 years and never heard about this issue so "it can’t be a production fault", while the buds are only a couple months old so that makes no sense to me, anyway. I have spent €300 on buds I could use for 1 day and I would like apple to help me out here... It should be a simple repair. “

I have the exact same problem, my bud broke in half yesterday while trying to change ear tips and I don’t own the receipt. I got them as a gift. Airpods are only 2-3 months old so they are brand new, and right now I have only 1 of them working. I don’t know what to do, I have warranty, will they fix my bud or replace it with a new one or will they make me pay for a new one? The feeling with the airpod that broke in half was like somebody already broke it before me then put it back together and then I broke it the second time, it didn’t feel firm and sturdy enough. Also I don’t know if it’s important but I’m from Europe.
