Ipad air 5 heating up on taking notes

My recently bought iPad Air 5th generation starts heating up as soon as I start taking notes on the "Notes" app. Is anyone else facing this issue? One time, the device got some kind of 'restarted' after heating up as all background apps were closed and I lost my notes.

Can anyone else suggest if it happens for this app only or apps too?

Notes App Heating up iPad and Draining Battery Hello, Until yesterday, I have always used note-taking apps such as "Notability" or "Good Notes 5" for note taking. However, I had to use Apple Notes to write down something quickly and had to continue using that note. Ever since writing on Notes, my iPad has been heating up a lot (feeling uncomfortable on my hand) and draining the battery very much (30% in less than an hour). Not only this, but it constantly lags and glitches when writing or erasing. Normally, I do not heavily use my iPad but on the rare occasion I do, no heating issues occur when using the other note-taking apps (even if iPad is on for multiple consecutive hours). I have tried all suggestions which include clearing all applications from recent, restarting the iPad, disabling background app refresh, turning off iCloud Sync, and putting it in airplane mode but nothing has seemed to fix the problem since the minute I started writing again, the glitching continued and was later followed by the heating. Is there anything that can be done? Is this issue software or hardware based?

App Notes overheating Ipad and crashing Hi, I saw already a topic about this problem in 2022 for the IOS 15 but now we are one year later and the problem doesn't seem to be fixed. So when I m using the Note App of Apple to take hand written notes with the Apple Pen, my Ipad pro (12,9 inches) (4th generation) overheats (like I never experienced with anything else even with high demanding games). The display of the written notes slows down taking a second to display on the screen making it difficult to take notes. After a while, the app crashes and I loose part of my notes. As I m connected to the Wifi, I thought it would synchronize the latest notes but it didn't. I lost 30 minutes of notes more or less. It didn't happened only once but serveral times. I m taking notes for a class so I m writing them in the same note file which is now getting bigger and bigger. Could it be the problem???

We'd like to share some information regarding the temperature of your device. We would recommend looking over If your iPhone or iPad gets too hot or too cold - Apple Support to check to make sure the device is within the acceptable operating temperatures. If you are experiencing thermal related issues such as sensory or unexpected shutdowns like you mentioned, you'll want to contact Apple Support.
