Hard to predict Apple Pencil behaviour in Notes app

when you use the pencil to write in the Notes app, it is hard to predict where the next word will appear, even though improvements have been made. It looks as if i can’t write anywhere on the screen, but just beside the cursor, which can be challenging when you reach the edge of the screen.

This is when a new paragraph or a new text line appears and all attempts to place the cursor back where it was, will be defeated.

In the app WritePad by Penquills i can use the pencil but there are also specific actions to create a new paragraph and the text will always appear where the cursor is, no matter where you write on the screen. These basic skills should be embedded in the Notes app.
