How do I select an app to use CarPlay
My apps in customise have a red- against them. I want to use waze in CarPlay which has a - sign against it.

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities.
Just to clarify are you seeing the red minus symbol on your vehicles display, or are you seeing this in Settings > General > CarPlay > Customize on your iPhone?
If you're viewing this on your iPhone, this would mean the Waze app is already linked with CarPlay. To use the app while using CarPlay, you'll just need to tap on the app icon on your vehicle stereos display.
