iPhone 14 Pro max lockscreen wake up delay

I am on ios 17 now but this issue has been present since ios 16.5 or so. Sometimes, on pressing the power button there is a slight delay for the lock screen to wake up. When the display wakes up, it’s with a jerk. The face id is already activated and the animation is very rough. This happens very randomly and I haven’t been able to pin point anything causing it. Frequency is may vary from 3-5 times a day or sometimes it’s fine for a couple of days too.

iPad Pro screen shuts down in certain software situations I have a strange problem with my iPad Pro 13" M4 (2024). It seems like a software problem but no action helps. Symptom is this: The screen shuts down in certain software related situations and I need to wake it up by pressing the button. Then it works normally again. These situations are at least: 1. starting a video from facebook or instagram (first time, second video will work normally). 2. After taking a screenshot and immediately opening it for editing, cropping etc. In these cases the screen shuts down in the middle of action and I need to wake it up. It's not a huge deal but super annoying as it happens every day. Can this be a hardware problem even though the events are software related? I think it almost have to be, I have gone through all possible software settings there are and I know my way around the system.

14 Pro: Looking at screen prevents sleep Not sure if this is a feature or a bug. On the iPhone 14 Pro I have the Auto-Lock set to 30 seconds. Unlock phone, place it on flat surface. The phone won't go to sleep while I'm looking at the screen, even from a few feet away. If I close my eyes, or look away from the screen, it goes to sleep after 30 seconds. It appears that the Face ID scanner is monitoring whether I'm actively looking at the screen and keeps the phone awake until I stop actively looking at it. Is this a new feature or has it always behaved like that? iOS: 17.4.1
