Issue in adding some envato elements transitions, titles and effects in FCPX (I dont have apple motion and I'm on the 90 day trial version of FCPX)

So I have been downloading a lot of transitions, effects, generators and titles for my projects.

But the issue is, that some are working and some are not just showing up!

(Remember I don't have apple motion or the paid version of FCPx for now.)

This is how I'm adding all these downloaded stuff into my FCP -

0 - Quitting final cut pro

1 - Copy the main folder that has all the files from the downloaded folder.

2 - Go to - "Application - Final cut pro's icon - right click and show package contents - contents - plugins - media providers - motioneffects.fxp - contents - resources - templates - titles, generators, transitions, effects"

3 - Pasting it to transitions, generators, effects, titles (as per the requirement, like titles inside titles and so on.)

4 - Making the pasted folder ".localized" and all the sub folders ".localized" as well.

5 - Launching FCP

Now, for some downloaded stuff I see them there, but some times there is just the folder name but nothing inside (no red errors, nothing, totally blank! Especially in transitions.)

I have even tried to change the OZML version and Display versions of the downloaded files by opening them via text editor and saving it after making the changes.

Also, I made sure that my FCP and OS is updated till date and the files I'm downloading are 'newly uploaded to envato elements' and are compatible with FCP & Motion. (however, I don't have motion)

Please somebody give me the right way to do this.

I just learned FCP 1 week back and want to apply some downloaded stuff.

Blank one's look like this -

Working envato one's look perfectly like this -

Wait!

There is something entered in the search box in your FCP screenshot.

If your transition does not match the search criteria, it won't show...

Click the little menu with the loupe, and uncheck 4K and HDR.

I would venture a guess that Flat Transition is intended as a THEME folder.

This can be double checked by opening Elastic Left.motr in TextEdit and searching for:

<template>

<theme>Theme Name</theme>

</template>

(about 32 lines down from the top). If Theme is "Flat Transition", then another level of folder (category) will be required in Transitions, "above" Flat Transition.

DO NOT MAKE ANY CHANGES TO THE .motr FILE!

If there is no <template> tag, then you can ignore this tip.

@Tom -

Attaching 2 screenshots, one with my file path and what has been localized and the other with that I can see in FCP.

Below is the FCP screenshot after doing all this.

'Flat Transition' is selected in this screenshot and the one below it 'Flat Transitions' that you can see. Please ignore it, as I pasted it in the FCP package the wrong way.

< Wrong way - Application - Final cut pro's icon - right click and show package contents - contents - plugins - media providers - motioneffects.fxp - contents - resources - templates - titles, generators, transitions, effects >
