IPHone 11.Ting has advised swiTching from a Verizon sim to a t-mobile sim. Do my messages vanish or ar. They stored on the phone?

You shouldn't lose any content when switching SIM cards. However, as it sounds like you're looking to backup your Messages. If so, you can create a backup with one of the methods here: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support

You can also check with your carrier to be sure your device is unlocked to use with another carrier before traveling.
