Transferring music.

If you mean "Apple Music" the subscription service,. then check out this Apple article; Use Sync Library with your Apple Music subscription - Apple Support.

But if you mean synchronising your music (that you've purchased) to a device and you r Mac has OS Catalina or later on it, use the Mac's built-in app Finder. If your Mac uses OS Mojave or earlier, use iTunes.

It's no longer clear what you're trying to do. In your first post, you asked how to add Apple Music to your iPod. Let's be clear, Apple Music is a subscription service: you pay each month and that gives you access to Apple's library of music, but you will never own a copy of any of it. When you stop paying the subscription, you lose access to that music.

However, if the music on your iPod is from your iTunes library and consists of music that you have purchased, then you would appear to have no use for Apple Music. If you were to turn on Apple Music, that would then prevent access to your own library and I assume that is what you have read online.

If therefore, you only wish to continue to use the music that you've already purchased, then continue to use your existing library, not Apple Music.

In your second post, you then indicate that the issue was that your iPod did not Sync and wonder whether that was because the iPod was not charged. If the iPod's battery was completely flat, then yes, there would be a delay before the Sync takes place, but by now it must have charged up enough to Sync. Has that now happened?

One more point; now that all iPod's are listed under one heading, I have no idea which model of iPod you are using. But this is relevant because (I think I'm correct in stating that) Apple Music can only be used on the iPod Touch (using the latest iOS version). It cannot be used on iPods such as the Shuffle, nano, Classic or older Touch.

Does that mean that if get a song from Apple Music (Service) I can't purchase from Apple store later? I have downloaded albums and tried to purchase songs later in order to transfer to undesignated devices.
