Moving docx files from Macbook to iPad and converting so I can work on it with Pages- how?

I need to have files in Pages on my iPad so I can use it for presentations. I have a Macbook Pro but the best I can do is convert docx to pdf. Any suggestions?

converting .pdf docs into .pages and/or .slides docs? I often use AI to produce slides, handouts and to plan adult classes on human development. AI can produce them formatted as PC type docs, not Mac docs. How can I convert them to docs I can use on my Mac - for handouts, slides to project onto a screen, and emails? I am not interested in a ten step program ... simple one or a few keyboard shortcuts and we're done...that's what I'm hoping to find here.

Pages and word and scrivener Has anyone figured out how to export a pages (apple) document to word (apple)? and how to export pages document to scrivener? Is apple just being uncooperative?

How can I save files in DOC format using LibreOffice I have been using pages on iPad but I do not like it on MacBook it saves as DOCX but not DOC option, I have tried Libra office, but could not get on with it, so I prefer NeoOffice it may be older but much more user friendly I think. bedwell [Re-Titled by Moderator]
