After the update on my iPhone 5 I cannot make any voice calls or FaceTime, this needs to be fixed ASAP!!!

The speaker button no longer works to dictate. I cannot make basic phone calls as there is no sound on either end I cannot do FaceTime it disconnects right away. I also cannot speak through things like messenger as there is no audio.

If it upgraded to iOS 15.7.9, then it is not an iPhone 5, it's an iPhone 7, 8, or X series. You can check the model by going to Settings > General > About.


It may be a failing battery. Apple recommends replacing it when it reaches 80%. To check your battery health, go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health.

Yes, it’s an iPhone 7 (my mistake) I didn’t realize the battery could cause the certain aspects of the speaker to not function properly. He can still watch videos etc but seems like anything that would require someone talking into the phone doesn’t work.

every time I go to the Genius Bar with an issue they are never helpful and always say to restore the phone
