Delete many pictures from PhotoApp

Hello, trying to delete pictures from FotoApp - it actually works by moving photos into "hide" in albums that you want to keep, then delete all you still see. No matter what, after selecting them I can't find the "hide" command in my IP 12. Does anyone have a tip? Iphone 12 ProMax, IOS 16.5
