Magnet application no longer works after upgrading to Mac OS Sonoma

I know this question has been asked before, but I could not find a way to re-open the question, so please pardon the duplication.

In brief, I have been using the Magnet application, which can be found in the Apple App Store for years now with no problem. I am using the most current version of Magnet available on the App Store.

Once I upgraded a few days ago to Mac OS Sonoma, suddenly keyboard shortcuts for positioning windows no longer work. In fact, the dropdown menu that normally resides in the menu bar was available at first, but all options for window positioning were grayed out and unavailable.

I thought to restart the application, so I quit the program, then restarted it, but its icon no longer appears in the menu bar. I checked in Activity Monitor, and the process is definitely running, but I have no access to it.

Has anyone else encountered this problem. Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Best,

Robert Hieger
