I received a promotional gift card of $150 for purchasing a new Macbook. The email giving me the details was worded in a way that I accidently put it into my Apple account for tunes and apps. I didn't want it there but wanted to purchase an iPad using this. How do I go about retrieving it?

Once a gift card has been redeemed, there is no way to transfer the funds from your Apple account. You can reach out to Apple directly to see if they may be able to help, but likely that the funds will not be able to be moved.

It had been redeemed into the Apple App store/Itunes. I just went to buy the iPad and it was offered as partial payment so I was able to use it. Thanks for getting back to me
I believe that you can still use it to purchase an iPad. Apple recently made some changes related to where gift cards and account balances can be used.
