Photos not showing in iphone photos app

I have all my pictures synced with icloud.

I have taken several pictures with my iphone and also made screenshots. Only screenshots show up in my photos app, while the pictures taken do not show in the photos app on the iphone but they DO show up on the MAC photos app.

On the iphone, if I go into the camera, and touch the lower right thumbnail, I do see the pictures, as if they were saved on a different folder or something.

Can anyone tell me how to make the photos app on the iphone show the pictures taken with the phone?
