AirPods pro Serial Number check

Today I encountered a strange thing for an AirPods Pro 2 that my friend bought from a user, initially when we checked the serial number of AirPods for warranty coverage it showed the information but later during night when we checked it again it showed the serial number is of a replaced product. Can anyone explain this to me?

AirPods Pro 2 serial number discrepancy I recently acquired an AirPods Pro 2 from an authorized reseller and the product seems to work fine however when I lookup using the serial no. in the Apple website checkcoverage, the product name with short description appears to be a bit off. It shows as “AIRPODS PRO GEN2,USB-C,DRAGON“. I’m hoping to reconfirm and reassure if this is genuine or counterfeit product but I can’t seem to find much online resources regarding this. I believe this to be a genuine AirPods Pro 2 because aside from the working ANC feature as well as the Adaptive transparency mode, I am also able to locate the case using the Precision Finding in the Find My app which I highly believe that counterfeit products won’t be able to copy that because of the U1 chip built in it. I found some articles online regarding Year of the Dragon related releases of AirPods Pro 2 but my case doesn’t come with the engraving as described in those articles. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

AirPods Pro Same Serial Number My AirPods Pro 2nd Gen. has the same serial number written on both eartips and charging box. Is it normal or is it fake?
