Buying products through Apple Card monthly installments

I’m trying to figure out if I can purchase a Macbook using my Apple Card monthly installments, even though the overall credit limit that I have is LITERALLY $100 too low for the overall cost of the Macbook. My limit is $1000, before tax the Macbook is $999 but after it’s about $1,093. I saw one forum that said the installments look at the cost before taxes, which makes me think that I can do this. However, at check out through the Apple Store app, a disclaimer says that I MAY need $1,093 in total available balance on my Apple Card. Can anyone clear this up for me, please? Planning to buy this weekend and if I can’t finance it then I’ll have to figure something out. Thanks.

When checking out do a split payment. This allows you to charge $95 on one credit card and the balance on another. You’ll need to talk to an Apple Card Specialist at Goldman Sachs bank to confirm it’ll work with an Apple Card Monthly Installment.
